Basketball Game Preview: Sebring Blue Streaks vs. Auburndale Bloodhounds

Sebring has gone 8-2 against Auburndale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Sebring Blue Streaks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Auburndale Bloodhounds at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Sebring ended up a good deal behind Lake Wales and lost 48-33. The Blue Streaks haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Sebring saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Molly Jane Zwayer dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 boards. Zwayer is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season. Adriana Maldonado was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, everything went Auburndale's way against Santa Fe Catholic on Thursday as Auburndale made off with a 40-20 victory. The Bloodhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Auburndale has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.4 points per game. As for Sebring, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
