Baseball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Springfield Wildcats, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered against the Wildcats since May 10, 2022.

Wayne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brodie Benson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Coming up, Wayne will take on Piqua at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Springfield, they will face off against Xenia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
