Soccer Game Preview: Leavenworth vs. West + How To Watch

The Leavenworth PIONEERS will venture away from home to face off against the West Chargers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Leavenworth's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Leavenworth fell victim to Shawnee Heights and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Thunderbirds, falling 12-0. While losing is never fun, Leavenworth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Shawnee Heights are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, West was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Topeka by a score of 2-1.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Leavenworth, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Leavenworth might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from West in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the PIONEERS avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
