Soccer Game Preview: Bayfront Charter vs. Lincoln

The Bayfront Charter Sharks will square off against the Lincoln Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Bayfront Charter took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Palo Verde Valley onto the board and left with a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, everything went Lincoln's way against Mira Mesa on Thursday as Lincoln made off with a 6-3 victory. Considering the Hornets have won seven games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincoln's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those three contests. As for Bayfront Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.

Bayfront Charter was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bayfront Charter since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
