Softball Recap: Philo Comes Up Short

Philo was the 4-1 winner over Athens when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Electrics fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 15-14 on Saturday.

Philo now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Athens, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philo will face off against Morgan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Electrics' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Athens, they will square off against Vinton County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
