Baseball Game Preview: Lindsay Knights vs. Alvord Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Lindsay will face off against Alvord. The Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lindsay's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Alvord's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Lindsay is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Alvord just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Alvord pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Lindsay, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-5-1.
