Football Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were dealt a 37-6 defeat at the hands of the Passaic Indians. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 26-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Passaic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Justin Griffin was his usual excellent self, rushing for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Edwin Hidalgo, who gained 48 total yards and two touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Kennedy will face off against Hudson Catholic on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.14 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Passaic, they will take on Passaic County Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
