Softball Recap: Thomas Sumter Academy Comes Up Short

Thomas Sumter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 16-2 to the Clarendon Hall Saints. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Saints this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-1 defeat last Monday.

Kason Carter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Thomas Sumter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Clarendon Hall, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Thomas Sumter Academy and Marlboro Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Clarendon Hall, they will venture away from home to square off against East Clarendon at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
