Volleyball Recap: Canton Wins Going Away Against Community

Canton waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Community Braves with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 28-26, 26-24, 25-21.

Addison Alexander paced Canton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Alexander got some help from Mallory Alexander and her 17 assists. Addison Capps controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Canton's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Community, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Canton will take on Clyde in a tournament on Thursday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Community, they will head out to face off against North Lamar at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
