Volleyball Recap: Lewiston Comes Up Short

Lewiston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Diller-Odell Griffin, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Leading Diller-Odell to victory were Mallory Schwab and Sidney Engelman. Schwab had six digs and three aces, while Engelman had seven digs and one assist. Those six digs gave Schwab a new career-high.

Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Diller-Odell, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Lewiston has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer on the 13th. As for Diller-Odell, they will challenge Exeter-Milligan at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
