Basketball Game Preview: Bottineau Braves/Stars vs. Kenmare/Bowbells

The Bottineau Braves/Stars will take on Kenmare/Bowbells in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bottineau came up into this matchup off a tough 49-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Velva by a score of 93-90 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Kenmare/Bowbells played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Westhope/Newburg and fell 89-48. Kenmare/Bowbells was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-20.

This is the second loss in a row for Kenmare/Bowbells and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Bottineau, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Bottineau strolled past Kenmare/Bowbells in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 83-68. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bottineau since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
