Volleyball Game Preview: Marmion Cadets vs. West Aurora Blackhawks

The Marmion Cadets will face off against the West Aurora Blackhawks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marmion will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Marmion had just enough and edged out Montini Catholic 2-1.

Marmion got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 33-35, 25-20, 25-13.

Meanwhile, West Aurora came up short against Glenbard East on Monday and fell 2-0. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While West Aurora had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21.

Marmion's win bumped their record up to 15-17. As for West Aurora, their loss dropped their record down to 17-14.
