Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Damonte Ranch Mustangs on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Vivien Spomer, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Hailey Schultz was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Spomer wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Heritage lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Damonte Ranch, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Heritage has already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Churchill County on the 29th. As for Damonte Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-7 defeat against Woodcreek on the 28th.
