Shenandoah Valley was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Nativity BVM on Wednesday. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Green Wave with a sharp 11-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Devils considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Brayden Maksimik and Landon Monaghan did most of the damage at the plate: Maksimik scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Monaghan scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Maksimik a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Jostin Lajara, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Shenandoah Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nativity BVM only posted an OBP of .333.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's offense. They lost 13-0 to Montgomery on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Shenandoah Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Everything went Shenandoah Valley's way against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Shenandoah Valley made off with a 9-3 victory.
