Football Preview: Penn Manor Comets vs. Hempfield Black Knights
Penn Manor hasn't had much luck against Hempfield recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Black Knights at 7:00 p.m. Penn Manor will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Penn Manor barely beat Reading the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Red KNights 41-8. The Comets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Randy Guthrie produced another solid effort rushing for 143 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. Those 143 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Robinson, who picked up 66 receiving yards and one score.
Penn Manor didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Christian Herman, Elijah Valentin, and Rashaun Doyle picked up one apiece. Herman is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 56 points the game before, Hempfield was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against Manheim Township, falling 35-13. The game marked the Black Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Hempfield now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Penn Manor, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
