Softball Recap: Frost Takes a Loss

Frost was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Itasca Wampus Cats, falling 19-11. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wampus Cats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 26-21 back in March.

Addyson Fuller led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She also put up two RBI, which were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Eleana Valles, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.

Frost's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Itasca, their record now sits at 6-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frost will face off against Italy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Polar Bears will need to watch out since the Gladiators have now posted at least ten runs in their last ten matches. As for Itasca, they will square off against Hico at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wampus Cats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
