Baseball Recap: Williamsburg Comes Up Short

Williamsburg managed to slip by Claysburg-Kimmel the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Pirates came up short against the Bulldogs on Monday, falling 12-3. The contest marked the Blue Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Williamsburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Clark, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Williamsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Williamsburg will welcome Mount Union at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-9 win against Southern Huntingdon County on the 2nd.
