Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Gilroy

Gilroy extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Saratoga. They had just enough and edged out the Falcons 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Not much got past Ariela Yslava, who gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks to keep Saratoga off the board.

Gilroy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saratoga struck out 14 times.

Gilroy pushed their record up to 20-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Saratoga, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-3.

Looking ahead, Gilroy will challenge King's Academy on Saturday. The Knights will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. Saratoga does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
