Football Game Preview: Jensen Beach Falcons vs. Suncoast Chargers

The Jensen Beach Falcons will face off against the Suncoast Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Jensen Beach is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Okeechobee, posting a 39-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three matches in a row.

Paige Bressman was nothing short of spectacular: she threw for 173 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in one rushing score. Jensen Beach is undefeated when Bressman posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise. Kayla Carnes got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Jensen Beach didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Natalie Tobiasz led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Emma Butcher is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Carnes got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, while Suncoast put up some points on Monday, the same can't be said for Port St. Lucie. The Chargers blew past the Jaguars 26-0. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Jaguars are ranked 277th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Suncoast and bumps their season record up to 10-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Jensen Beach, their record is now 10-5.

Jensen Beach came up short against Suncoast in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, falling 12-7. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
