Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springstead). They blew past the Wharton Wildcats 64-32 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Springstead found their leader in freshman Ariana Willoughby, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc on her way to 21 points and four steals. Briana Coleman was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Springstead smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Wharton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Hurst, who posted four points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaytee Tyler, who had nine points.

Springstead's record is now 11-2. As for Wharton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Springstead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-36 loss against Oak Lawn on the 28th. As for Wharton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-50 defeat against Lemon Bay on the 28th.
