Baseball Recap: ESTEM Comes Up Short

ESTEM was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Riverview Raiders, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 back in March.

ESTEM saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zander Hoots, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Hoots has brought in this season.

ESTEM's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Riverview, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. ESTEM will venture away from home to take on Malvern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverview, they will square off against Bald Knob at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
