Soccer Game Preview: Center Grove vs. Carmel

Center Grove is 0-9-1 against Carmel since September of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Trojans will take on the Greyhounds at 2:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Center Grove sitting on 11 straight wins and Carmel on six.

Center Grove is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Evansville Memorial get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Center Grove's winning goal came courtesy of Lexi Wilson.

Meanwhile, Carmel faced East Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Greyhounds came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0.

Carmel's win bumped their record up to 18-2-1. As for Center Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.

Center Grove suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Carmel in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
