Basketball Recap: Martinsville Comes Up Short

Martinsville lost against Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Martinsville Bluestreaks were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine. The Bluestreaks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Genna Kidwell was her usual excellent self, putting up eight points along with five rebounds and three steals for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Kintner, who posted six points.

Martinsville now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, their record is now 7-10.

Martinsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 35-14 defeat against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg on the 14th. Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine has also already played their next matchup, a 54-30 loss against Dieterich on the 14th.
