Softball Recap: Mercer County Comes Up Short

Mercer County lost to Oldham County back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Titans took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colonels.

Jaley Bowman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Haidyn Houston also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Mercer County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Oldham County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mercer County will square off against Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oldham County, they will head out to square off against North Hardin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
