Baseball Recap: South Plaquemines Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

South Plaquemines got themselves on the board against Booker T. Washington on Thursday, but Booker T. Washington never followed suit. They blew past the Booker T. Washington Lions 14-0. Considering the Hurricanes have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kylon Turner made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Turner was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Dean Ancalade and Gavin Ballay did most of the damage at the plate: Ancalade scored three runs and stole Eight bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Ballay scored three runs and stole Six bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Ancalade a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Khi Ancar, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-2.

South Plaquemines pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
