Volleyball Recap: Mount Airy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mount Airy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Surry Cardinals, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss two weeks ago.

While Mount Airy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11, 25-14.

Mount Airy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for East Surry, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Mount Airy nor East Surry have any future games scheduled.
