Football Recap: Edwin O. Smith Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Edwin O. Smith extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 2-5. They had to suffer through a 44-7 loss at the hands of the Newington Nor'easters. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-7.

Sean Podosek threw for 49 yards on seven of 15 attempts. Talan Hancox-Mellady was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

As for Newington, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Josiah Sims had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 197 yards and three scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 112 rushing yards per game.
