Basketball Recap: North Charleston Cougars vs. Beaufort Eagles
The North Charleston Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 52-34 bruising from Beaufort. North Charleston has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Beaufort found their leader in underclassman Carson Crosby, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crosby has scored all season. Davariyah Smith was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.
North Charleston's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Beaufort, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.
North Charleston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Beaufort will be playing at home against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanahan will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
