The Plainville Blue Devils will challenge the Lewis Mills Spartans at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Plainville will be strutting in after a  victory while Lewis Mills will be coming in after a  defeat.
Plainville is headed into the  contest after thoroughly thrashing Rocky Hill: they outscored them in every quarter. The Blue Devils took down the Terriers 35-20  on Thursday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Terriers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.

A big part of Plainville's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Anthony Abarno and his top target  Chase Bouchard. Abarno threw for 265 yards and three  TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes while  Bouchard gained 151 total yards and three touchdowns. Bouchard also  hauled in two  receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Plainville is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  two  receiving touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Plainville proved: they limited Rocky Hill to a paltry 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank  Dylan Feltt for the heroic effort on defense: he. Plainville's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.47 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 3.77 on average over their last five games.
 Plainville's defense didn't let  Mason Margiotta, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.  Jose Gutierrez was another major factor on D,  picking up  a  sack and making 14 total tackles.
Meanwhile, Lewis Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They were a single  point away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   22-21 heartbreaker at the hands of Tolland. The Spartans gained 123 more yards on the day, but it was the Eagles that made the best use of them.
Plainville will have to contain  Mason Scanlon as he made an impact in Lewis Mills' last game. He rushed for 143 yards.

 The  win  got Plainville back to even at 3-3. As for Lewis Mills, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Everything came up roses for Plainville against Lewis Mills in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as the  team secured  a  27-0 victory. Do  the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
