League recap: Adams dominating on the mound for Seymour

Cody Adams was the best pitcher in 1A Region I District 8 this week, leading Seymour. He won one game and struck out 18 batters.

Seymour used a 2-0 record over the past week to move from 691 to 605 in the Texas state rankings.

Seymour's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing eight hits and seven walks to lead the league in both categories. The Panthers have given up a mere 96 hits on the year, while striking out 155 opposing hitters. Adams is the leader in that category with 110 Ks on the season.

Brayden Winn led the league with six hits this week for Seymour. On the season, he's hitting .302 and ranks fourth in the league with 19 hits.
