Basketball Recap: Cottage Starts Season with Victory Against Cumberland Academy of Georgia

Cottage gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 67-45 margin over the Cumberland Academy of Georgia Cyclones. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Cyclones: they've now won seven in a row.

Maxwell Lagan was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 60% from the field to rack up 28 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Those 60% shooting accuracy gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Davis Bradley, who posted seven points and five boards.
