Basketball Recap: Juarez Takes a Loss

Juarez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 104-9 defeat at the hands of the Butler Lynx. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-5.

When it comes to explaining why Juarez lost, don't look at Martha Patino. Despite the final result, she posted seven points.

Juarez now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Butler, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Juarez will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chicago Military Academy-Bronzeville/DuSable at 5:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Butler, they will host Perspectives-IIT/Joslin at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Perspectives-IIT/Joslin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
