Monte Vista is 8-2 against Dublin since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Gaels at 6:30 p.m. Monte Vista is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Thursday, Monte Vista beat Foothill 3-1. Given Monte Vista's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Foothill are ranked 217th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Monte Vista hit Foothill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Coilin Huberty, Peyton Miller, and Liam Ford.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Dublin's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of De La Salle by a score of 1-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Dublin couldn't quite close it out.

Dublin's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-3-2. As for Monte Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1-2.

Everything went Monte Vista's way against Dublin in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, as Monte Vista made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
