Softball Recap: Lakota West Takes a Loss

Lakota West lost against Lakota East two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Firebirds fell just short of the Thunderhawks by a score of 3-2. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liz Meyer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Jordan Beimesche was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Lakota West now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Lakota East, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lakota West is set to take on their familiar foe Princeton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lakota East will square off against rival Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
