Soccer Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the White River Hornets, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while White River are ranked 117th).

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for White River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Coincidentally, Jefferson and White River will both be playing Kent-Meridian the next time they take the pitch. The Hornets will host the Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
