Baseball Recap: Cherokee Bluff Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Cherokee Bluff couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troup County Tigers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 on Monday.

Cherokee Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 28-13. As for Troup County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 25 of their last 28 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Troup County beat Cherokee Bluff by a score of 5-1 later that day.
