Volleyball Recap: Alta Starts Season with Win on the Road

Alta had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Hillcrest Huskies as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Alta was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-20.

Catherine Brinkman paced Alta's offense, picking up ten kills. Brinkman got some help from Ava Morgan and her 19 assists. Kaitlin Barron controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Hillcrest's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Alta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Lehi on the 14th. As for Hillcrest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Payson on the 14th.
