Soccer Recap: Fenwick Comes Up Short

Fenwick lost against Oak Park-River Forest back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Friars came up short against the Huskies, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Fenwick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Oak Park-River Forest are ranked third).

Fenwick's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2-2 record this season.

Fenwick didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Providence Catholic on the 9th. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Proviso West on the 7th.
