Wheeler is 8-2 against Putnam since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lions will welcome the Clippers at 4:00 p.m. Wheeler is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Bacon Academy hit Putnam with a six-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Clippers came up short against the Bobcats, falling 10-3. The Clippers have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Wheeler's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Putnam, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Wheeler beat Putnam 5-0 when the teams last played back in April. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Clippers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
