Recap: Oceanside vs. Bonita Vista
Bonita Vista couldn't get the homefield win in its prior game, and running away to test its luck on the road didn't solve any of its problems. It received a tough blow as it fell 35 - 19 to Oceanside. Since it was a playoff game, the defeat was a particularly difficult one for Bonita Vista.
Bonita Vista got first blood with a 11-yard receiving touchdown in its first drive, but Oceanside was able to respond with 14 first-half points. That left Bonita Vista at a 14 - 13 disadvantage. The defense had its troubles as well as it allowed 21 points in the second half.
The win got Oceanside up to 5-6. The defeat kept Bonita Vista winless and dragged its record down to 0-11.
The season is close to the end, but Oceanside will look to squeeze in a victory in its upcoming game. Oceanside is set to face off against Point Loma in a playoff match this Friday at 7:00 PM.
