Perryville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Glen Rose Beavers 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Bonnie Powell was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Powell was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Perryville got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Eppler, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Mylee Rychtarik also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
