Baseball Recap: Southwind Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Southwind's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cordova Wolves on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Jaguars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Southwind's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cordova, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Coincidentally, Southwind and Cordova will both be playing Whitehaven the next time they take the field. The Jaguars will head out to face the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Wolves will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
