Soccer Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 4-0 to the Catawba Ridge Copperheads. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Copperheads are ranked 26th).

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Catawba Ridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will welcome Clover at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Catawba Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christ Church Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
