Volleyball Recap: Seven Straight Road Wins for Hamilton Heights

Hamilton Heights lost to Western Boone back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Huskies came out on top against the Stars by a score of 2-0. The game was the first time the Huskies have beaten the Stars on their court since August 20, 2016.

While Hamilton Heights might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Western Boone scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.

Macie Smith paced Hamilton Heights' offense, picking up ten kills. Smith got some help from Sierra Bramel and her four assists. Finally, Celeste Wiegman kept Hamilton Heights' defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Hamilton Heights' victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Western Boone, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Hamilton Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Logansport on the 23rd. As for Western Boone, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 23rd.
