Soccer Recap: Temecula Valley Takes a Loss

If Temecula Valley was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Murrieta Mesa last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Temecula Valley Golden Bears took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Great Oak Wolfpack on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 143rd).

Temecula Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Great Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3-4 record this season.

Temecula Valley has already played their next contest (against Murrieta Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Great Oak will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Murrieta Mesa at 7:15 p.m.
