Softball Recap: Milan Triumphs

Milan won the last time they faced Peabody and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Golden Tide.

Camryn Green spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Milan's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Hensley, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Milan's win bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Peabody, they dropped their record down to 10-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Milan will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Gibson County at 5:30 p.m. Peabody does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
