Shenandoah had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 23-17 margin over the Rushville Lions. The Raiders have beaten the Lions the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.
Shenandoah got a massive performance out of Ethan Taylor, who scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all seven of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Taylor has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Coffey, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances.
Coincidentally, Shenandoah and Rushville will both be playing Centerville the next time they take the field. The Raiders will host the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
