Football Recap: Orting Skates Past Foss with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orting). They claimed a resounding 76-0 win over the Foss Falcons. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Falcons are ranked 249th) , the win on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Orting's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points over those games. As for Foss, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Orting will square off against rival Clover Park at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Foss is set to face off against their familiar foe Steilacoom at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
