Softball Recap: York Dukes vs. Highway 6 Trailblazers

York won against Milford last Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Everything went the York Dukes' way against the Highway 6 Trailblazers as the York Dukes made off with a 9-1 win. Considering the Dukes have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lauryn Mattox made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and a double while going 3-for-3.

Mattox wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hayley Mattox, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Hayley a new career-high in OBP.
