Preview: Sherman Tide vs. Ritchie County Rebels

The Sherman Tide will be playing at home against the Ritchie County Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ritchie County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Sherman, who comes in off a win.

Sherman can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. Everything went their way against Meadow Bridge as Sherman made off with a 32-12 victory. The victory was just what Sherman needed coming off of a 48-0 defeat in their prior game.

Sherman relied on the efforts of Andrew Simpson, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns, and Trey Lester, who rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Ritchie County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Cameron at home and fell 50-13. Ritchie County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-0.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Bodhi Utter, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Newbrough, who picked up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Sherman now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Ritchie County, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
